Spring Colors in the Winter Chill
During the winter season, orchids are featured in lush floral displays and living arrangements, and unique species and cultivars will fill the historic House. New in 2020, guests will be welcomed by an archway of orchids in the entry Foyer- nearly 50 blooms will create the perfect photo opportunity to celebrate orchids at Filoli!
In addition to the plants from Filoli’s collection, the show features orchids from local organizations including the San Francisco Orchid Society, Santa Clara Valley Orchid Society, Gold Coast Cymbidium Growers, and Pacific Central Branch of the American Orchid Society. Filoli is indebted to these orchid societies for generously exhibiting their plants during our Orchid Show.
Each Friday at 12:30 pm, learn more about the exciting world of orchids from Filoli’s Plant Collections Fellow, and plant expert, Terry Huang.
Join one of the Greenhouse tours available from January 5 through February 23. Tours are led Fridays and Sundays from 11:00 am – 12:30 pm.
On the third Saturday of each month, 9:00 am to 12:00 pm, join the Pacific Central Judging Center of the American Orchid Society for an opportunity to learn more about orchids and the world of orchid judging.
