Summer Camps at Filoli

The Riekes Center is holding programs at Filoli for 5-18 year olds in nature immersion, music theory, and photography. The Riekes Center has been providing programs in nature education and the creative arts for 20 years.

Filoli's Garden is bursting with the midsummer colors of sunflowers, zinnias, dahlias, and snapdragrons. And don't forget to smell the roses!

Each season we scout the Garden for amazing blooms and features our favorites here.

Wander through the gate to the Woodland Garden, where Japanese maples create a canopy of red and orange leaves.
The fan-shaped leaves of the gingko trees are slowing turning yellow, bringing gorgeous fall color to the Walled Garden.
Orchids in the Garden House provide a pop of tropical color.
The English holly shrubs in the Walled Garden are getting in the holiday spirit with their bright red berries!
Named for the scent of its foliage when crushed, pineapple sage produces bright red flowers from the end of summer through fall.The edible leaves and flowers can garnish a drink or salad.
Though fall is upon us, Filoli's rose garden is still blooming! The English shrub rose 'Graham Thomas' is currently showing off creamy yellow blooms.
Ipomoea lobata, also known as the "Exotic Love Vine," is a quick-growing annual climber that brings lively scarlet, orange, and yellow color to the sides of a Cutting Garden cage.
The first camellias of the season are popping up, including the pink and white camellia sasanqua 'Yae-Arare' variety in the Walled Garden.
The delicate white blooms of the climbing potato vine cover the wall between the Clock Tower Shop and the Sunken Garden.
Relax on a bench on the Dining Room Terrace and enjoy the view up at the fall color of the red oak tree.
Look along the Dining Room Terrace balustrades for the elegant, drooping fuchsia blossoms that inspired the name of the vivid pink-purple color. Did you know fuchsia plants also produce edible berries?
Despite its name, Rose of Sharon is actually a hibiscus shrub- a perfect addition of color at the end of the season!
The 'Feathertop' ornamental grass variety brings soft texture to the Cutting Garden. Its large, soft flower plumes wave softly with each breeze.
