Inspiration Glows during Holidays at Filoli: Tickets on sale for the 2022 holiday season at Filoli
Woodside, CA, August 23, 2022– Filoli is a vibrant landscape of the Bay Area situated on the unceded ancestral lands of the Ramaytush Ohlone. Today, this estate serves as a community cultural center and announces its full program of holiday festivities for the 2022 season. Holidays at Filoli is the time to make special memories, bask in the vibrant landscape, and spend time together where inspiration glows.
“Gathering with loved ones to celebrate the season of peace, love, and light is what Holidays at Filoli is all about,” says CEO Kara Newport. “No matter what the cultural tradition, it is a shared experience to make memories with friends and family this time of year. This season has something for everyone, and we look forward to celebrating the most joyful time of year with our visitors once again.” Filoli’s 2022 holiday happenings will include a return of the super popular Santa Days in December, Flora Parties to create your own beautifully-botanical holiday wreath, and the always-magical displays of lights and decor in the House and Garden.
In the Garden, spectacular light displays draw tens of thousands each year. “Last year, Filoli put up 18 miles worth of string lights, but this year we’ll probably break 20!” Says Formal Garden Manager Haley O’Connor. “I’m most excited about the new addition to our spectacular display—the light tunnel. We drew inspiration from Longwood Gardens for this dazzling and immersive element.” From there, Filoli’s holiday visitor will be greeted by a twinkling wonderland, where luminous exhibits of sea greens and blues, gold, and crystal take inspiration from the surrounding landscape and its natural elements.

Nestled in the luminous landscape, the Woodland Court beckons with mulled wine, hot cider, coffee, and crackling firepits. This perfect spot to warm up in the winter chill is framed by glowing lights and festive decor, where groups of friends and family can be found snuggled close. Food & Beverage Coordinator Meaghan Schauer is asked all season long for her recipe for Filoli’s best-selling mulled wine. “It’s a blend of pinot noir, apple cider, orange juice, and mulling spices,” says Schauer. “Last year, over 7,000 cups of mulled wine were served to our visitors!”
The magic doesn’t stop outdoors; Filoli’s historic House is decked out in divine decor with over twenty-two Christmas trees and thousands of ornaments. Sounds and scents bring the season to life, like fresh baked cookies and vanilla in the Kitchen and the joyous sounds of a New Year’s Eve party in the Dining Room.
Filoli offers timed ticket windows between 10am-9pm everyday from November 19, 2022- January 8, 2023 for Holidays at Filoli. Evening admission times are expected to sell out quickly and Filoli’s staff encourage visitors to plan ahead. “Daytime at Filoli brings its own delights,” says Newport. In the winter sun visitors can see fall fanfare ablaze, stroll the Estate Trail, stop for lunch at the Quail Café, and enjoy the lights and decor which stay on during all of Filoli’s open hours. Filoli has begun pre-sale exclusively for their Members and tickets will go on sale to the public on September 3, 2022.

Holidays at Filoli Hours
Tickets are on sale now for Filoli members and sellouts are expected! Tickets will be available for the general public starting September 3, 2022. Advanced tickets are required and can be purchased at filoli.org/holidays. Sellouts expected!
Filoli will be open for the holiday season from November 19, 2022 through January 8, 2023, daily from 10am-9pm. Both the House and Garden, as well as the Clock Tower Shop, and Quail Café will be open during all holiday hours. Filoli will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
