Filoli Appoints Darcy Hill as Chief Development Officer

WOODSIDE, CA – July 23, 2025 — Filoli, the Historic House and Garden, is delighted to announce the appointment of Darcy Hill as its new Chief Development Officer. Following an extensive national search led by Arts Consulting Group, Hill joined Filoli’s Executive Team on Monday, July 14, 2025.

“Darcy’s proven ability to inspire philanthropy and build meaningful community partnerships will be invaluable to advancing Filoli’s mission at this transformational moment,” says Kara Newport, Filoli’s President and CEO. “Her experience, which is rooted in conservation, the arts, and education, aligns beautifully with our vision, and her leadership is an exciting addition as we cultivate a sustainable future for Filoli.”

As the Chief Development Officer, Hill oversees the team responsible for creating connections with the local community and building Filoli’s visibility and support through philanthropic commitments.

Hill has spent 13 years bringing together communities across the Western U.S. to invest and fund initiatives in the arts, environmental conservation, and academic Research. Prior to joining Filoli, Hill served as the Chief Development and Communications Officer at Planned Parenthood, Arizona. There, she oversaw $15 million in annual fundraising efforts. Hill also was the Development and Communications Director at Rosie’s House: A Music Academy, where she oversaw a capital campaign that purchased the school’s first building and arts center. She also led a major gifts program at the Garden Canyon Conservancy. She began her career at the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix, Arizona.
