Discover the Bounty

What is there to do in the Orchard?

  • Settle into the walnut grove with a cup of cider from the bar or an autumn treat from the pop-up cafe.
  • Capture memories in a picturesque fall photo vignette.
  • Play in the hay maze and pose for photos with tractors and towers of pumpkins.
  • Build a scarecrow and join the scarecrow parade every morning.
  • Hear stories about farming and cultural harvest celebrations during 11am family storytime.
  • Take a self-guided orchard walk to learn about the historic Orchard and cultural harvest celebrations.
  • Talk with Filoli staff about fall fruit and the harvest season at the Harvest Hub.
  • Purchase Filoli-grown fruit and vegetable products from the farm stand.
  • Live music in the afternoon!

What do you do with all that fruit?

So that everyone can enjoy the beauty of the Orchard, fruit tasting and picking is not an Orchard Days activity. The fruits and vegetables grown at Filoli are made into butters sold at the Clock Tower Shop, pressed into hard cider available at the Bluebird Bar, and are donated to local food banks.
