Filoli's two magnificent 'Camperdown' Elms are a sight to behold in the winter as bright yellow leaves fall and reveal twisting branches. This contorted variety was first discovered at the Camperdown estate in Scotland. The English Holly shrubs in the Walled Garden are getting in the holiday spirit with their bright red berries! Commonly known as Chilean Bellflower, Lapageria rosea is the national flower of Chile. The vine blooms year round. Spot it on your left from the Sunken Garden before you enter the Chartres Garden. The season's earliest blooming camellias are Sasanqua Camellias, including the white variety 'Narumi-Gata' in the Walled Garden. Potted blooms of many varieties fill the estate for the holidays! This striped pink Poinsettia brings color to the Garden House. Look for the upswept pink and white blooms of Ivy-Leaved Cyclamen throughout the Woodland Garden. Some say the flowers look like butterflies in flight! The 100-year-old dwarf Pomegranate shrubs are providing their own seasonal ornaments along the back of the House! As the wet season has arrived, Mushrooms are appearing beneath the Redwoods on the Spring Creek Trail. See What's Blooming
