Service Learning
Filoli's Service Learning program provides a free learning experience on a variety of topics, such as horticulture and garden tips and tricks, combined with an opportunity to volunteer to support Filoli. Enjoy time with family and friends, meet new people, be immersed in the beauty of Filoli, and give back to this treasured community resource through service. There are no minimum requirements or minimum hours of service. Children are welcome to participate. Anyone is able to sign-up for just one program or as many as you like.
Orchard Care

9am–12pm
Spend the morning in Filoli’s historic Gentleman’s Orchard as you join our Horticulture team to mulch, weed, and prune the heirloom fruit trees to prepare for a summer harvest. Along the way, enjoy a learning break to hear about the Orchard’s legacy and tips on how to care for fruit trees. Get your hands dirty, learn something new, and help preserve a living piece of history—plus, enjoy complimentary admission to Filoli for the day.
Cost: Free; Participants receive free admission to Filoli on the day of the program.
