What You'll Do
As our Assistant Guest Experience Manager, you'll be a key part of our leadership team, working closely with the Guest Experience Manager to ensure every visitor has an unforgettable experience. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Leading a Great Team: You'll help train, schedule, and supervise our Guest Experience team, fostering a positive and collaborative environment. You'll also provide daily guidance and support to ensure everything runs smoothly.

Creating Memorable Moments: You’ll be on the front lines, greeting visitors, answering questions, and sharing the unique story of Filoli. Your energy and passion will help visitors of all ages feel welcome and engaged.

Overseeing Daily Operations: You'll make sure our Check-In kiosks and other guest areas are well-stocked and running efficiently. You'll also help with administrative tasks and data tracking to support the team.

Director of Partnerships: Fuel the Future of Filoli!
Are you a strategic fundraising leader ready to build game-changing relationships that power a renowned historic estate and garden? Filoli is seeking a Director of Partnerships to drive our institutional giving program, secure vital funding, and advance our mission through strategic grants, corporate support, and government funding.
As a key leader reporting to the Chief Development Officer, you will secure the resources needed for Filoli to realize its strategic vision: connecting history with a vibrant future. Your expertise will directly fund innovative programs, community outreach, and our major campaign to enhance access to nature. We are looking for someone who excels at setting high goals, creating compelling narratives, and ensuring total accountability.
This is a full-time, hybrid role that offers flexibility, though you must be available for occasional evening and weekend donor and partner events. Depending on candidate experience, the annual salary range is $122,000 to $147,000. This position is eligible for employee benefits: medical, dental, vision, life, LTD, Flex Plan, 401(k) (eligible 1st of the month following the date of hire), vacation, sick leave, and holiday pay.

Filoli is seeking an Executive & Board Liaison to be the operational partner to our Chief of Staff, ensuring seamless alignment between the CEO, Executive Team, and Board of Directors.
Reporting to the Chief of Staff, the Executive & Board Liaison is a critical, high-impact role that blends complex executive support, meticulous board governance, and organizational project management. You will be the central hub for executive communications, scheduling, and strategic documentation.
The ideal individual is creative, thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, and excels at maintaining a realistic balance among multiple, competing priorities with the utmost discretion.
This is a full-time, flexibly scheduled position, working in an office located in a beautiful historic house. Depending on candidate experience, the annual salary range is $86,000 to $100,000. Flexibility including occasional off-hours or overtime commitment may be required to meet business needs. As the Retail Manager, you’ll be a key part of this mission, helping guests take a piece of Filoli home with them through our thoughtfully curated retail spaces.

What You'll Do
As our Retail Manager, you will:
- Lead daily operations across all retail spaces, including the Clock Tower Shop, Nursery, Trailhead Store, The Staghorn and seasonal Pop-Ups.
- Collaborate on visual merchandising strategy, using creativity and data to create engaging displays that reflect the beauty of Filoli and drive retail success.
- Supervise and support a dynamic team, including the Assistant Retail Manager, Retail Buyer, Coordinators and Retail Representatives.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, support special events, and serve as Manager on Duty as needed.
- Drive results through inventory management, retail analytics and operational excellence.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for someone who brings:
- 3-5 years of retail leadership experience, including visual merchandising and customer-facing roles.
- Proven ability to lead a team in a fast-paced, high-traffic retail environment (nonprofit or cultural institution experience a plus!)
- Strong leadership, coaching and communication skills, with a collaborative and inclusive management style.
- A passion for creating meaningful and beautiful guest experiences through merchandise and storytelling.
- Familiarity with tools such as Google Suite, Square, YellowDog and Altru is helpful.

Seasonal Facilities Technician - Be a Key Player in the Magic of Filoli!
Are you a proactive problem-solver with a passion for keeping things running smoothly? Do you thrive in a dynamic, hands-on role where every day brings something new? Filoli, a stunning 654-acre historic estate and public garden, is looking for Seasonal Facilities Technicians to join our team from September 15, 2025, through January 15, 2026. This seasonal position offers a flexible schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with an hourly rate of $26.00. This is a fantastic opportunity to support our most exciting season, with a team dedicated to preserving a place of wonder and beauty.
What You'll Do
As a Seasonal Facilities Technician, you'll be essential to the success of our events and daily operations. Your work will directly contribute to a world-class experience for thousands of visitors.
- Event Support: You'll be on the front lines for our holiday night events, setting up and breaking down tables, moving furniture, restocking propane for fire pits, and troubleshooting issues to ensure a safe and beautiful experience for our guests.
- Logistics & Maintenance: You'll help with receiving and organizing deliveries, manage trash and recycling, and assist the Facilities Team with general repairs. From minor plumbing and electrical work to basic carpentry and small equipment repair, you'll be a key part of our daily maintenance efforts.
- Team Collaboration: You'll work closely with various teams, responding to work orders, maintaining a clean workspace, and providing high-quality support to staff, visitors, and volunteers.
