Filoli’s first family, Agnes and William Bourn, designed the Ballroom to host intimate performances. This year, uniquely-themed performances will celebrate Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, and Filoli’s popular partnership with Opera San José. Irish Night with Devil's Orchard
March 12–14 | 7pm
Intertwined in Filoli’s history are enduring tales of Ireland. Join us in the grand Ballroom to celebrate Filoli’s Irish connection, surrounded by the sweeping murals that depict the Bourn family’s idyllic Muckross estate.
As Devil’s Orchard takes the stage, the room comes alive with haunting melodies and richly textured, tradition-rooted acoustic sound, inspired by Gaelic and Scandinavian traditional music. Guests may further mark the occasion with a bottle of champagne, available for an additional fee.

Opera San José

Opera San José brings the power and passion of their world-class artistry to our historic stage. This unforgettable evening offers an exclusive preview of Opera San José's 2026–2027 season, along with stirring highlights from their upcoming production of the iconic classic, La Traviata.
