Some of the Tree Peonies blooming in the Production Garden were donated to Filoli by renowned East Bay nursery-owner Toichi Domoto. The Rose Garden is bursting into bloom! It's the beginning of a long season of color and fragrance that will last until early fall. White Anemone Clematis clings to the outside of the Clock Tower Shop. This type of vine is known as the "Queen of Climbers." The yellow-blooming Flannelbush near Red's Barn is the size of a tree! It is currently abuzz with bee and fly pollinators. See vibrant Blueblossum Ceanothus on Filoli's nature trails. These drought tolerant native shrubs are a great addition to California gardens. Seed pods on the Camperdown Elms are showing off their beautiful chartreuse color. The pink blooms of the 'Cecile Brunner' Rose cascade over the pergola in the Clock Tower Shop courtyard. Bearded Irises are flowering along the Iris Border between the Garden Orchard and Yew Allee. Did you know that the word "iris" means "rainbow" in Ancient Greek?
