3-Day Class: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, June 20, 21, 22, 9:30am – 3:30pm
Combine the special botanical characteristics of orchids and the unique qualities of vellum. Create rich color through multiple layers of watercolor dry brush to capture the shaded form and surface qualities so characteristic of orchids. Using vellum’s special surface artists will gain comfort in working with this beautiful and translucent material. The instructor will also demonstrate the process of stretching vellum over a panel. Those preferring to work on watercolor paper can do so; these dry brush techniques apply to either paper or vellum.
Prerequisite: Intermediate botanical art experience.
