Join Filoli’s Nature Programs Supervisor, Mary Anne Leary, for a nature exploration hike on Filoli’s preserve. On this 90-minute hike, you will learn about spring wildflowers, the healing qualities of the plants, flowers, and trees, along with the Native American uses of plant material. After the hike, join Mary Anne for a seasonally selected box lunch to be enjoyed at Red’s Barn.
The hike traverses about 2 miles of uneven terrain including moderate hills. The trails are not wheelchair accessible. Hikers may be required to maneuver over or around obstacles on trails. Please bring water, walking shoes, and clothing for light rain. Heavy rain cancels the hike. For questions about accessibility, please contact the Education office by email at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 650-364-8300 x 263
You will be contacted to submit your preference for lunch with vegetarian and gluten-free options available. Tour departs from outside the Visitor’s Center.
Proceeds from your purchase support Filoli’s mission, from the care of the historic House, magnificent Gardens, and vast Nature Preserve, to the events and programs that will keep Filoli culturally relevant for the next 100 years. Thank you!
