This two-day symposium will highlight the continuing legacy of Ruth Bancroft’s garden for a wider audience of professional landscapers, horticulturists and avid home gardeners. Ruth’s vision and garden practices are very timely in the current moment of expanding population, climate change and increasing pressure on water resources.
Filoli’s CEO, Kara Newport, will take part in the panel Preserving a Vision: Challenges of a Mature Garden, moderated by James Brayton Hall, President of the Garden Conservancy.
Other panel participants are: Jabari Taylor, Assistant Landscape Architect at Prospect Park Alliance, New York; and Shelagh Fritz, Program Manager, The Gardens of Alcatraz, Golden Gate National Parks Conservancy.
This is an external event. For more information on the program and speakers, please visit the Dry Garden Symposium’s website.
