MULTI-DAY CLASS: Friday, Saturday, March 27, 28, 10:00am – 4:00pm, Sunday, March 29, 10:00am – 1:00pm
Formerly called ‘Graphite I’
Achieve precise details and smooth continuous tone in graphite. Emphasis will be on rendering texture and form through control of tonal values. Explore light on form and how to bring your botanical illustrations and sketches to life with simple techniques. Enhance observational skills and rendering and learn to see the world through a naturalist’s eye. Practice using lead holders and experiment with different paper surfaces. A series of exercises will lead to accurate and lovely small drawings of botanical subjects.

Prerequisite: ‘Introduction to Botanical Art’ or equivalent experience
Cancellation Policy: Cancellations up to 2-weeks prior to a class are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations less than 2-weeks prior to a class are non-refundable. Filoli does not issue credits for future classes.
