Techniques learned in A Year in the Garden are for both professional and home gardeners and can be applied to your own projects. A typical day includes a classroom lecture plus a walk-and-talk in the historic Garden or a hands-on workshop. Students also select a project to work on in their own gardens and receive guidance from the instructor. Projects can range from landscape renovations, to cataloging plant materials, to simply planting a vegetable garden for the first time. Students who take A Year in the Garden graduate with a Certificate of Completion in Horticulture.
All sessions are on Wednesdays from 10:30am – 3:00pm and include a break from 12:30-1:00 pm.
