Ikebana: Introduction to Moribana

MULTI-DAY CLASS:Friday & Saturday, November 2 & 3, 9:30 am – 4:00 pm

Ikebana, Japanese flower arranging, is noted for perfect proportions and dramatic use of negative space. The world’s top floral designers recognize that a command of Ikebana design principles results in better, more sculptural design work. In this four–lesson course, you will be introduced to these principles by creating arrangements in flat, shallow moribana containers. Learn about line, mass, dimension and asymmetry as well as techniques for successfully using a pinfrog. Students are invited to take home their arrangement.

The class fee includes floral materials only. Students are asked to bring a container and pin frog. See the materials list for details.
